NARSOL In Action

April 18th

7:00 to 8:30 p.m. E.D.T.

Agenda:

  • Review of Does v Snyder;
  • Review of Packingham v North Carolina; and
  • National Conference Update.

This month we will review two very important cases that have the potential to change registration laws in this country. There are two cases currently before the United States Supreme Court. Paul Reingold will explain the status of Does v Snyder which is awaiting the court's decision on Michigan's Petition for Certiorari. Our side won the case in the Court of Appeals already but Michigan has asked the high court to review that decision. If time permits, Mr. Reingold will take a few questions.

The other case is Packingham v North Carolina which has been heard by the court and pending their decision. This case was lost in the North Carolina Supreme Court but the United States Supreme Court granted Packingham's Petition for Certiorari. Glenn Gerding will explain what we can expect and the timeline for the court's decision.
